Emailchemy converts email from the closed, proprietary file formats of the most popular (and many of yesterday’s forgotten) email applications to standard, portable formats that any application can use. When an application cannot import one of these standard formats (like mbox or EML), Emailchemy has a tool called the IMAP ImportServer that will “host” your converted email for that email application to “download” the converted email. This server runs on the same computer as your email app, so you’re not sending anything over the Internet.

This video starts at the point after you have used Emailchemy to convert your email from any supported format to Emailchemy’s IMAP format.
