What happens when my license expires?
As you get close to the end of your support term, Emailchemy will remind you with a popup window when it starts that you should consider renewing soon. All licenses for Emailchemy come with one year support and upgrades, but what happens at the end of that year is different for some licenses. Before your license expires, contact Emailchemy sales or support to see if you qualify for a renewal discount.
Personal Edition & Forensic Edition:
When you get to the end of your support term, you will see this dialog window:
Clicking Renew takes you to the Emailchemy purchase page where you can purchase another year of support and upgrades. Clicking Not Yet closes this window and resumes the app. You may continue to use the version of Emailchemy you have indefinitely, but your license key will not work with the next major version. You will get future maintenance releases (minor version releases) as long as the major version you have is supported. If you bought v13.3
- … and v14 comes out within your support term, then you will get v14
- … and v13.4 comes out after your support term ends, you will get v 13.4
- … and if v15 comes out after your support term ends, you will not get v15
New major versions of Emailchemy come out about every 18 months.
Site License and Technician License:
When you get to the end of your support term, Emailchemy will revert to unregistered/demo state.
